Tucson, AZ – Walbro Tianjin Industries Co., LTD, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Walbro Engine Management, has been named a “Top 100 Motorcycle Enterprise in the Past 60 Years of People’s Republic of China” by Motorcycle Information magazine. The selection was made by a high level committee of Chinese government and trade association representatives.

Walbro Tianjin Industries is located in the Tianjin Beichen Economic Development Area. It was established in April 1995, with production beginning in October 1996. The Company primarily produces motorcycle carburetors, with an annual output of 2.5 million units. Walbro Tianjin Industries utilizes advanced machining equipment and testing facilities and has a number of ISO quality certifications including 9001, 1994 and 2000. The facility also holds ISO 14000-2004 certification for environment management.
Walbro Tianjin’s engineers and technicians calibrate carburetors according to customers’ specific engine characteristics, and also provide timely before and after-sales service. In addition to its own extensive technical capabilities, Walbro Tianjin Industries benefits from technology from Walbro Japan Inc. and other Walbro operations.
To adapt to market demand, Walbro Tianjin is expanding into the production of diaphragm carburetors, ignition systems and flywheels. In addition, the Company has already developed new carburetors and EFI systems that meet China’s Stage III emission regulations.
